2014 Wall Team Client Appreciation Party

With this year being The Wall Team's 15 year anniversary in business they decided to make it a little special by taking the annual client appreciation party to the Crosstimbers Winery in Grapevine! It was a very beautiful fall evening to gather with some of their most special clients and friends. A delicious barbeque dinner was served while being entertained by a great country and western duo.

Of course, the traditional Christmas gift card drive for single moms was kicked off at this event. Over $1,000 in gift cards were donated by the guests. They will be given to the single parent ministry at Gateway Church to distribute this Christmas season. Great door prizes were donated by Texas Secure Title Company. The lucky winners took home spa certificates, movie night passes and the grand prize was an iPad Mini! Oh and the Walls donated a weekend stay at their Hot Springs Village lake retreat.
The Walls look forward to this event every year. They love to see many of their repeat clients and meet some of the new ones they haven't met yet who have worked with their team members. It's a great way to express their gratitude and invite their clientele to participate in a charitable cause too.

Today was an exciting day at The Wall Team office. Larry and Laurie surprised the team by announcing they had already reached the 2014 goal by August! Along with this news the Walls presented the team with an award trip to Cancun along with their spouses at the brand new Secrets Playa Mujures Golf and Spa Resort.

The team award trip has become a very important tradition that not only serves as a great motivator throughout the year, but also adds to the culture of the team. For Kevin Holmes, the Wall Team's longest standing team member of 10 years, this will be his fifth trip. The memories of fun times spent together build a special bond that strengthens this team and breeds unity.

Larry and Laurie couldn't be more proud of this group of ...

July 4th craft t-shirts

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tradition

A tradition is a belief or behavior passed down within a group or society with symbolic meaning or special significance with origins in the past.

As I was reminiscing about our annual July 4th Family Week in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas I realized that several of our activities were becoming "traditions". Because Larry and I have a blended family, we haven't had the opportunity to develop many special family traditions, but now that we have grandchildren in the mix that is changing.

One our favorite traditions on July 4th is the "Ice Cream Sundae Extravaganza". After our cookout and before fireworks we have a buffet of every kind of topping and sauces you could want or imagine along with different flavors of ice cream. It's not a question of "how many toppings do we need?" or "Am I still hungry?". It's all about gluttonous fun and extravagance! And everyone one remembers it and looks forward to this special event. It's a tradition that we hope will outlive us. This small thing brings out love, laughter and the kind of memories that create a legacy.
